Preview – Hands-on | 8 september 2010 – The Sims draait ondertussen al enige tijd mee in de industrie. De 3 achter de naam van deze titel zegt eigenlijk erg weinig. Er zijn namelijk al heel veel Sims games verschenen, zowel op de PC als op de vorige generatie consoles. Nu brengt Electronic Arts The Sims 3 naar de huidige consoles. Krijgen we eindelijk een échte Sims titel, of wordt het weer een minimalistische versie?
Dit heb ik gespeeld
Redelijk bekend met de Sims serie zocht ik op de gamescom te Keulen EA op achter gesloten deuren. Daar werd ik bij het spelen van The Sims 3 op de PlayStation 3 begeleid door een van de Producers van de game. Na 10 minuten mocht kon ik zelfstandig aan de slag en heb ik een half uur lang het gezin van 3 mentaal en fysiek gesloopt.

The infinitely re-playable world of The Sims 3 is set to expand once more with The Sims 3 Late Night. The upcoming expansion will include new skills, careers, and opportunities – as well as a ton of new locations and gear to customize your Sim’s appearance and living quarters.
But it’s the return of vampirism that promises to bring the biggest changes to how you actually play The Sims 3. And these vampires won’t be overly glamorous vampires or cartoony caricatures of counts and countesses from the 1920s. “Our vampires are not Twilight,” insists associate producer Grant Rodiek. He’s the one who designed the new vampire system for Late Night and wants to make sure that your blood-sucking Sim is totally badass and unique.
